10.0.3: Clip Skimming

A new feature in FCPX 10.0.3 is Clip Skimming. FCPX has a Skimmer in the Event Browser and the Timeline. What is so special about Clip Skimming? When you are Skimming in the project, you hear all of the active audio clips and see the composited video or the video clip in the highest layer.

Activated via the View menu, Clip Skimming is similar to the Scrub Tool in Soundtrack Pro.

With Clip Skimming, only the audio or video of the skimmed clip is heard or seen.
